David Karp is founder of Tumblr — one of the internet’s fasting growing startup. Karp had a keen interest in tumblelogs (short-form blogs) and wondered why one of the established blogging platforms had not established their own. So in 2007, at the age of 21, he launched from the bedroom of his mother’s apartment in New York. According to an article by The Next Web in March 2013, Tumblr surpassed 100 million blogs with over 44.6 billion posts inside.
