The scheduled arrival of Pope Francis is causing much excitement across the entire continent of South America, where he worked much of his life. he began his work as parish priest in the slums of Buenos Aires and ultimately as Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio. This will be his first trip abroad since being elected Pope in March 2013. Throughout his life, Pope Francis has been noted for his humility and his concern for the poor. Francis is the first Jesuit pope and the first pope from the Americas. He was born of Italian parents in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
