According to the Stop Hunger Now relief agency, a child dies every 6 seconds from not having enough to eat. This relief organization is helping save lives by sending 20 million meals and other aid to 79 countries worldwide. Stop Hunger Now has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger for more than 15 years. They created its meal packaging program, in 2005 and have perfected the assembly process that combines dry foods and 21 essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packets. The food stores easily, has a shelf-life of 2 years, only costs only 25 cents per packet. They work with international partners that ship and distribute the meals in-country.
